Wahoo — The Wahoo City Council on May 26 adopted Resolution No. 2026-11 declaring the city’s official intent to issue tax-exempt bond anticipation notes or bonds and to reimburse certain expenditures for construction of electric, water and natural-gas improvements related to the West Utility Corridor project.
The resolution cites Regulation Section 1.150-2 and states the principal amount of notes or bonds expected for the reimbursable portion of the improvements is estimated not to exceed $3,500,000. The council approved the resolution by roll call.
City officials characterized the action as a statement of financing intent that will allow the city to reimburse eligible project costs from future bond proceeds. The resolution lists engineering, legal, financing and other related project costs among reimbursable expenditures.
Next steps: City staff and finance officials will proceed with bond planning and documentation consistent with the city’s official intent; the resolution establishes the administrative basis for later issuance but does not by itself issue debt.
