Bruneau-Grand View board accepts superintendent’s resignation; posts replacement

Trustee Elaine Eldridge moved to approve the resignation; Trustee Allen Merrick seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The action followed an executive session called under Idaho Code §74-206 to discuss personnel matters and superintendent goals.
The board also approved the superintendent goals for the 2025–26 school year by unanimous vote. According to the document reviewed in executive session, goals include: ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum, demonstrating fiscal stewardship, improving systems for student support (operations, transportation, nutrition, technology, and safety), enhancing school and community relations through annual survey data, and strategies for staff recruitment, development and retention.
In open session the board approved several personnel-related routine items tied to staffing and enrollment: open-enrollment applications for Students A–F and the 2025–26 staff application renewals under district policy 9409. The board voted to approve each of those motions unanimously.
Chairman Scott McNeley said the business manager would post the superintendent vacancy. No timeline for interviews or candidate review was specified in the meeting minutes.
The board convened at 7:02 p.m. at the Rimrock Library and adjourned at 9:11 p.m.
