Castleford Board approves hires, work releases and multiple policy actions; convenes executive session on personnel

The Castleford School District No. 417 Board of Trustees completed several routine personnel and policy actions during its Dec. 18 regular meeting.
Trustee Kim Taylor moved to approve the consent agenda; Brian Darrow seconded and the motion carried. Taylor later moved to grant work release for Oaklee Skinner (7th period) and Pablo Ontiveras (6th and 7th periods); Will Jaynes seconded and the motion carried. The board also approved the hiring of Kirstin Keetch as Athletic Director on a motion by Kim Taylor, seconded by Brian Darrow.
On policy, Trustee Brian Darrow moved a multi-part action: table policy 2720; adopt policies 9450 and 9450F; and adopt policy 3265 with specified options (including selected options for sections one through five and routing regular bus routes per policy 8140). The board moved into an executive session under Idaho Code 74-206(1)(b) for personnel matters.
