The Ossining Town Board on July 14 approved a set of routine administrative and personnel measures, including minutes, vouchers, labor agreements and event permits.
The board resolved to approve the minutes from its June 23 meeting. It then approved the voucher report dated July 14 (amount read aloud in the meeting packet). The clerk presented a resolution designating a delegate to the New York Association of Towns legislative meeting and the board approved that authorization.
The board ratified a memorandum of agreement between the town and the applicable service-employee association that covers the period cited in the motion and authorized the supervisor to execute the collective-bargaining agreement. The board also approved an appointment to the deputy town receiver position (retroactive to 06/29/2026 at the salary listed in the motion) and appointed Patricia Cunningham as a part-time intermediate clerk in the town receiver’s office (17.5 hours per week at $20 per hour), both retroactive to 06/29/2026.
Other actions included authorizing the supervisor to sign a landlord authorization form for a New York State Liquor Authority special-event permit for the Austin Fire Department parade (08/07/2026 at Los Angeles Park) contingent on acceptable insurance and indemnity, accepting listed correspondence and accepting monthly reports for June. The board voted to adjourn to a work session to review the New York Association of Towns Bill of Rights and later moved to executive session for advice of counsel, personnel and pending litigation.
The motions were made, seconded and approved by voice votes recorded in the meeting; the transcript records "aye" for approval but does not include a roll-call tally with member names for each vote.
