Bull Shoals — Mayor Carol Duss told the city council on Aug. 29 that Bull Shoals is coordinating with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and contractors to assess and repair damage to municipal facilities.
Duss said the city is in weekly meetings with FEMA, has located a contractor to estimate the cost of bath-house repairs, and is compiling GIS locational data for each site where work was performed. On utilities, the electrical panel for Lift Station #6 is expected to arrive this week. She said Lift Station #2 required a rotary assembly replacement that cost approximately $5,000.
Those items were discussed under continuing business; the council did not vote to authorize additional funding at the Aug. 29 meeting. Mayor Duss described the FEMA coordination and the contractor estimate as pre-implementation steps.
Next steps: staff will provide GIS calculations and the contractor’s estimate to FEMA; further repair contracts or budget requests will be presented to the council as needed.
