Select Board rules on 2025 assessment appeals, signs permits and tax warrants

At its June 15 meeting, the Lancaster Select Board processed a set of 2025 assessment appeals and several routine administrative items.
Town Manager Jessica Cyr read the assessor’s recommendations and the board voted on each appeal. The board denied the appeals by Snowman and Arsenault after motions by Selectman Leon Rideout, seconded by Selectman Shane Beattie; both votes were announced as "All in favor. Motion carried." The board approved assessment reductions recommended by the assessor for McDowell ($43,400), Ridgewood ($45,400) and Lambert ($15,000); those motions carried after being moved and seconded by board members.
The board also approved the June 1 work session and regular meeting minutes (motions by Selectman Shane Beattie, seconded by Selectman Leon Rideout) with unanimous votes. Administrative approvals included signing fireworks permits for Paul Hood (44 Pleasant Valley Road), Thomas Schmidt (260 North Road) and Riverside Camping & RV Resort (94 Bridge Street); an intent to cut for Robin Reynolds Jr. (Tax Map R20, Lot 11); and timber tax warrants for three property owners with amounts of $445.72, $166.78 and $2,239.13.
No dissenting votes were recorded; the minutes state each motion was carried with "All in favor. Motion carried."
