Summit Hills teacher Talia Marley surprised with gifts and tickets for her class to Disney on Ice

At Summit Hills Elementary in Ammon, D93 News surprised teacher Talia Marley with gifts and event tickets in recognition of her volunteer work and support for students. Reporter Nate Eaton said Marley "is always putting others first and making a difference wherever she goes," and described how Marley organized an adult kickball league and supports students outside the classroom.

The crew presented Marley with flowers, a box of chocolates and gift cards, including a $100 Ashley HomeStore card and other amounts mentioned on air. Kelsey, identified on air as a representative of the Mountain America Center, said Disney on Ice and the center provided two tickets for every student in Marley’s class to attend opening night.

During the on-site surprise, students were given gift bags and told not to open them until prompted. At the reveal, the reporter told the children, "You guys are all going to Disney on Ice," which drew cheers. A student who moved from sixth grade to third this year said Marley builds relationships with students and "shows up for their football games, basketball games, dances, theater," explaining why community members nominated her for the segment.

The broadcast thanked Marley and other teachers and closed the segment. The gifts and tickets were presented as local community gestures; no public funding or official program was mentioned on air.
