Council approves Mark West pipeline permit and Shops at La Marque plat on consent

Council moved and seconded the consent motion to adopt the ordinance granting the permit (Ordinance O-2026-0011) and approved the Shops at La Marque preliminary plat (approximately 16.095 acres, PID numbers referenced in the staff report). The motions passed by voice vote during the consent agenda.
Staff said the plat will allow new retail development in the western portion of the city and is expected to create sales-tax revenue and entry-level jobs. No amendments to either item were made at the meeting.
