Board approves demolition and final plans for new dwelling at 385 Bell Street

Architect Joe Myers said the final submission remained substantially consistent with the preliminary approval but incorporated changes: centering dormers in the roof plane and replacing previously proposed columns on the front elevation with wood columns.
Board members said the replacement columns were an improvement; the rear porch columns will remain natural finish as shown. Acting Chairman Wendy Naylor moved to approve demolition of the existing dwelling, and the board voted unanimously. The board then granted final approval of the new dwelling plans.
The meeting adjourned at 9:21 p.m. The applicant may proceed with demolition and construction permitting consistent with the approved plans and any standard village permit requirements.
