Kansas Board of Accountancy authorizes officers to finalize licensing database contract

At its Sept. 5, 2024 virtual meeting the Kansas Board of Accountancy authorized board leadership and staff to finalize and sign the statement of work (SOW) for a new licensing database once required documentation is complete.
Aron Dunn, CPA, Chair, and Susan L. Somers, Executive Director, reported the SOW remained in process and that additional documentation was awaited before the contract could be approved and signed. Following discussion, Julie Wondra, CPA, moved to appoint and authorize the Chair, Vice-Chair, Disciplinary Counsel and the Executive Director to finalize and sign the contract; Steve Herron, Public Member, seconded the motion. The minutes state that "upon a vote, the motion carried." The minutes do not include a recorded vote tally or identify any conditions or amendments to the authorization.
The board noted that the date for final acceptance of the SOW would be before the Board's next regularly scheduled meeting. The minutes do not identify the vendor, contract value, or the specific documentation outstanding.
