Brewster board accepts resignations, hires coaches and online supervisor

By motion of Heather McDonald, the board accepted the resignation of Katherine Cunningham as junior high science teacher and online monitor, effective Sept. 9, 2024. The board also accepted the resignation of Kirra Moore as paraprofessional and as assistant high school volleyball coach, both effective Sept. 16, 2024.
Hiring motions carried unanimously. The board hired Carmen Finley as a part-time online class supervisor for the 2024–25 school year (effective Sept. 3, 2024). It approved Lane Patmon as the high school head basketball coach for the 2024–25 season. The board hired Wade McCoy as high school head track coach and junior high head track coach for the 2025 season, and approved Paige Palmer as yearbook sponsor for 2024–25. All personnel motions were carried 5-0.
The meeting record shows two executive sessions—one for confidential student matters and one for negotiations—both of which ended with no reported action.
