Councilmember Carleta Bolack moved “to recess into executive session to consult with the City Attorney pursuant to the attorney‑client privileged relationship exception, K.S.A. 75‑4319(b)(2), for 45 minutes at 6:53 PM and invited City Attorney Albin into the session.” Councilmember Taylor Dory seconded. The motion carried 3‑0, with Bolack, Dory and Hobart voting yea.
The council returned to open session at 7:38 p.m. Mayor Lee Wingert said, “no binding action was taken while in executive session.”
After resuming the meeting, Councilmember Dory moved to adjourn; Bolack seconded. The motion passed 3‑0 and the meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
