The Bonner Springs Planning Commission approved replat FP0424 on Nov. 19, clearing the way to combine several older lots into one parcel for the proposed 120 On Oak apartment building.
Staff reported the property is currently zoned CC (Central Commercial) and that prior variances (August 2023) and a site landscape plan (January 2024) are already in place. The proposed building was described as four stories with approximately 100 dwelling units. Staff said the replat is intended to clean up historical lot lines, address a small parcel identified in records that may be Evergy-owned, and facilitate final utility and right-of-way arrangements; staff also said the development team has been working with the city on a development agreement and has state funding for “modern income housing.”
A commissioner asked why a replat was necessary; staff responded that the replat consolidates older lots and resolves an identified parcel ownership issue. With no further discussion, the commission moved, seconded and approved the replat with staff stipulations on a roll-call vote, 7–0.
The motion to approve was made and seconded on the record; the roll-call vote passed unanimously.
