Staff reminded commissioners that the county sometimes has surplus equipment (a previously donated generator was discussed) and that donated or used equipment could be an option, but also cautioned about maintenance and long‑term upkeep of large diesel generators. Commissioners said the project and the county match will be added to the formal Tuesday agenda for consideration and formal action.
No formal vote or appropriation was taken at the work session; commissioners asked staff to include the item on Tuesday’s agenda so the full commission can consider the match and any related budget amendment.
