Caney Council approves consent agenda, vendor repairs and Fourth & Live road closure

The motion passed 5-0.
The council approved specified repairs billed to Main Street Auto: a vapor canister vent solenoid for a 2017 Ford police vehicle ($118.13) and a front wheel hub replacement for a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe ($278.76). Motion by Councilperson Patterson; seconded by Councilperson Lisa Gorby. Vote: 5-0.
Council approved payment of $288.95 to cover an InDesign license used for the city Facebook page; the expense will be split two ways with the Caney Community Betterment Group ($144 payable to Caney Community Betterment Group). Motion by Councilperson Patterson; seconded by Councilperson L. Gorby. Vote: 5-0.
The council also approved the 2025 Fourth & Live concert scheduled for May 23, 2025. The authorization included a road closure beginning at 8:00 a.m. and gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Motion by Councilperson Patterson; seconded by Councilperson Butts. Vote: 5-0.
