Mark Cameron, presenting for the Town Hall Building Committee, said schematic interior design work for the Town Hall renovation is complete and that the window-replacement bid has been awarded. Cameron told the Select Board the project is trending approximately $223,000 over the prior budget estimate.
Cameron said the committee is offering the chairlift and a generator as deduct alternates to control costs, but he strongly recommended including the generator. Board members discussed seeking Community Preservation Committee funds to cover the generator and expressed support for continuing into the design development phase.
The Select Board voted 5-0 to proceed to the next design phase. Cameron and staff will bring further cost-management details and any funding requests back to the board for future votes.
