Police report: 13 dogs found at one home, parking and snow rules under review

Chief Small also discussed snow removal enforcement and recommended revising the sidewalk snow removal ordinance to align with neighboring municipalities. He suggested adopting alternate-side parking with signs posted this year and active enforcement beginning next winter; no formal ordinance change was voted on at this meeting. The board asked that Chief Small work with Clerk Atterbury and the village attorney to draft revised snow removal and parking ordinances for future review.
Other operational steps noted included ordering no-parking signs for Union Street near apartments to preserve emergency access and nearly completing the installation of citation software to improve enforcement tracking.
