She said many children ride bikes in the neighborhood and families fear for their safety.
Council members acknowledged the concern and described next steps: town roads fall under council authority and staff will investigate. One council member recommended that staff (Benjamin and Davis) and council liaisons prepare a recommendation for council action based on tonight’s testimony.
Council did not make an immediate regulatory change at the meeting; instead members asked staff to study traffic control options and return with a recommendation.
