Treynor school board accepts resignations of two boys soccer coaches

The Treynor Community School District Board of Directors on April 30 approved resignations from head boys soccer coach Jason McIntosh and assistant coach Mike McSorely at a special meeting, voting 3-0.
Board President Brandon Vorthmann moved to approve the meeting agenda at the start of the session; Board member Ms. Olson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Present at the meeting were President Brandon Vorthmann, Board member Ms. Olson and Board member Mr. Dreyer; Board members Mr. Christensen and Mr. Stogdill were absent.
The board recorded formal resignations from Jason McIntosh (Head Boys Soccer Coach) and Mike McSorely (Assistant Boys Soccer Coach). The district announced that Jacob Beresh and Alex Herrington will serve as interim co‑head boys soccer coaches for the remainder of the season.
Board member Ms. Olson moved to accept the resignations; President Brandon Vorthmann seconded. The board approved the motion 3-0. Following that action, Ms. Olson moved to adjourn; Vorthmann seconded and the board voted 3-0 to adjourn. The meeting ended at 4:05 p.m.
The board secretary was recorded as Matt VanHorn. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school flex room.
