Village staff told the Board of Trustees on July 13 that the village is in receipt of Goddard’s zoning petition for the current (old) village hall at 7660 County Line Road and that the petition will appear on the July 20 planning commission agenda for initial consideration.
Staff member Evan said the site-plan petition for the new village hall will also go to the July 20 planning commission meeting. He said final sale-agreement details are in progress, and that bid documents for the new village hall will be provided to the board at the July 27 meeting. Those documents, Evan said, are the packet used to solicit bids and will include technical specifications for HVAC, roofing and materials.
Evan told trustees he expects a single board meeting later in the year—most likely in September—devoted to village-hall discussion and decisions, including the sale, zoning of old and new properties, approval of a bid and selection of a construction manager. He said staff had approximately 25 meetings with architects in recent weeks to finalize design details and that the timeline calls for additional approvals and board actions later this year.
