On traffic-calming, staff advised against speed bumps because they hinder snow removal and the road floods; the council instead approved adding signage on Dike Road (one on the west end and one on the east end near Carter’s Field), including several signs to be mounted on existing posts and some to be sponsored by a bank. A council member noted concerns about vandalism of signs but moved the measure, which the council approved.
Council also approved a renewal of the Channel 8 services contract with no changes. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
