The Stamping Ground City Commission authorized ABC Administrator Kevin Kidwell and city attorneys Joe Hoffman and Zach Osborne to revise the city's ABC licensing ordinance and directed that attorney time for the review be charged to the ABC account.
Kidwell presented a rough draft of a proposed ordinance and said he will provide a standardized packet for future ABC applicants. The attorneys agreed to perform a legal review and make corrections to the draft; the commission approved a motion (mover: Commissioner Cody Meadows; second: Commissioner Dale Perry) to allow the revision and to pay attorney time from ABC funds.
Separately, the commission approved two administrative purchases for the ABC account: authorization for the ABC administrator to purchase software (examples cited: Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office) up to $500, and issuance of a People's credit card with a $1,000 limit for ABC purchases. Both motions passed on recorded unanimous votes in the minutes.
The minutes also note discussion of bonding for commissioners and the ABC administrator, and that the grocery store in town is approaching opening. The attorneys will present a revised ordinance draft to the commission once their review is complete.
