Stamping Ground commission approves minutes and finances; police orders Axon system

Police Chief John Giles reported the department has ordered an Axon Fleet system expected to arrive at the beginning of the year and that a liability grant will reduce the department’s Axon cost by $1,500. Chief Giles also noted ongoing parking concerns. Fire Chief Robert Hendricks said gutters at the fire station have been repaired but a water leak has arisen; a plumber was scheduled for Nov. 15, 2025 to evaluate. Public Works Commissioner Ken Koger said he will purchase a flag-pole lock (about $200), install an awning above the back door at City Hall, and finalize holiday decorations; he also said sanitation rates had not been updated with the water company but that the error had been corrected and the change will appear in December. Streets Commissioner Megan Brown reported new banners are hung and curbs have been painted. Economic Development Commissioner Cody Meadows noted work has started on the parking lot behind City Hall. Finance and administration reported nothing to present.
