At a Nov. 14 special meeting, Economic Development Commissioner Cody Meadows reported that a parking-lot survey behind Stamping Ground City Hall cost $500, less than the amount budgeted, but did not specify whether an easement exists. The commission discussed possible uses for the parcel and had no objections to tabling a formal decision.
Meadows said he preferred tabling the item with an intent to erect signage and to allow the lot to be used for the Holiday Market in the near term. Commissioners discussed revisiting the matter about six months into the budget cycle to better assess available funds and priorities. No formal motion to sell or develop the property was adopted at the meeting.
