The Stamping Ground City Commission conducted first and second readings Sept. 29 and voted to accept an SPV zoning ordinance changing the zoning for 115 Mulberry Street.
City Attorney Joe Hoffman read both readings of the ordinance. The motion to accept the ordinance carried 4‑0 (motion by Mayor Jennifer Jones; second by Commissioner Dale Perry). The ordinance was accepted as read.
Commissioner Cody Meadows asked the attorneys to review the city's gold‑cart ordinance so it aligns with the SPV ordinance. Attorney Hoffman noted that the property will still need to appear before the Board of Adjustments (BOA) before a building permit can be requested or issued.
The Commission also deferred further work on municipal websites until Commissioner Ken Koger can participate. The accepted SPV ordinance and follow‑up items will be on a future agenda for any implementation steps or BOA review.
