Delhi Township approves J.K. Meurer contract for park walking paths

Delhi Township’s Board of Trustees on June 24 adopted Resolution 2026-067 authorizing Administrator Skylor R. Miller to enter into a contract with J.K. Meurer Corporation to install new asphalt walking paths, overlay existing paths, and add a concrete pad at township parks.
Trustee Cheryl A. Sieve introduced and moved the resolution, Trustee Rosanne K. Stertz seconded it, and both trustees voted YES on the roll call to dispense with the second reading and to adopt the resolution. The contract award follows a bid opening; J.K. Meurer’s base bid was listed at $49,867.28 with an alternate bid of $20,507.00 for additional work.
Parks & Recreation Director Randy Supe told the Board staff will review the bids and oversee the project; he also described ongoing parks maintenance, recent successful tournament operations, and planned safety upgrades at the lodge facility, including installation of an AED and additional camera coverage.
The Board’s action authorizes the Administrator to execute the agreement and proceed with contracting; trustees did not identify a funding source during the discussion on the record but the fiscal officer’s report included routine transaction and budgetary items earlier in the meeting. The resolution was adopted with a unanimous recorded vote by the two trustees present for the motions.
