Andy West said that “some of the comments that were made at the last meeting by others, caused quite a stir,” adding that another person’s comment had ‘skewed the tone’ of his remarks. He said a more formal meeting process might have prevented his concern about being “manipulated.”
The Chair acknowledged West’s request and confirmed his comments would be recorded, saying, “The process is the process. I think we followed it as best as we could.” No other participants offered a rebuttal or extended discussion on West’s allegation during the meeting.
The Chair then moved on to the agenda item concerning technical corrections to the draft charter. West’s statement appears in the meeting record and will be part of the posted meeting materials.
