Superintendent Dr. Truett told the board the existing fume-extraction hoods no longer meet ventilation requirements because of age and must be replaced for safety and compliance. She recommended approval of the bid and asked the board to authorize the contract award not to exceed the stated amount.
A motion to approve the bid was made and seconded and passed unanimously. The board did not discuss contract execution details, scheduling or funding source breakdown during the public portion of the meeting.
