Board sets student parking permit fee at $30 after debate on equity and maintenance costs

Several board members said modest increases were reasonable to help cover recurring costs such as plowing, crack filling and line striping. One board member proposed a compromise of a $5 increase to $30 per permit as a 'baby step'; the board then moved and approved setting permits for Lots A, B and D at $30 for 2026–27.
The motion passed after a motion and second; the board agreed staff would implement the fee schedule so permits could go on sale in time for the school year.
