Council OKs DPWES request to move weekend Pump & Haul start time earlier

The Clifton Town Council on Sept. 7 approved a DPWES request to change the start time at the Pump & Haul facility from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and select special events.
Information about the proposed change had been circulated among the community and Council noted no comments in opposition were received. Mayor Bill Hollaway moved to approve the request; Councilmember Steve Effros seconded the motion and it passed by poll, 6-0.
The adjustment applies only to weekend mornings and select special events as coordinated with DPWES; the motion does not alter weekday hours. Council did not attach any additional conditions in the motion.
