Mebane announces Bike Rodeo, dodgeball fundraiser and Music on 4th concert series

City officials used the April update to promote several upcoming community events.
Kelly said the Mebane Bike Rodeo will be held May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at South Mebane Elementary School, hosted by the Mebane Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission and the Mebane Police Department; the event is targeted to children ages 4–12 and will include group rides, an obstacle course and a bike‑registration opportunity.
Kelly also announced a dodgeball fundraiser between the Mebane fire and police departments on May 14 at Eastern Alamance High School; proceeds will benefit Special Olympics programs for local athletes.
The city will present the Music on 4th free summer concert series downtown from May through September, beginning May 15. Kelly said the series is produced in partnership with the Mebane Business Association and enumerated performers scheduled for May, July, August and September.
Mayor Hooks closed the update by reminding listeners that the downtown farmers market continues through November.
