The committee discussed several near-term infrastructure items to support biking and walking: installing 'Bikes May Use Full Lane' signs, placing sharrows on bike boulevards, funding a curb cut at the pocket park and updating wayfinding/greenway signage.
Members said sharrows and lane signs could be purchased with discretionary funds and asked staff to confirm cost estimates. One member indicated a budget estimate for the curb cut and associated gutter work had been discussed at roughly $2,000–$3,000, while other curb-cut work discussed earlier had estimates in the range of several thousand dollars; staff cautioned these numbers were not final and would require Public Works confirmation.
Staff (S2) and committee members agreed to circulate route and placement maps and for staff to coordinate with Public Works (and with the city's purchasing process) to finalize designs, procurement and installation timing. The committee also discussed including signage near schools and the pocket park to promote the greenway and cross-town bike routes.
