The amended budget was read in full by Municipal Clerk Susan A. Minock and certified by Chief Financial Officer Jennifer A. Martin before the council vote.
The amendment reduced anticipated surplus from $1,200,000.00 to $1,135,131.93 and adjusted line items across general revenues and appropriations, including changes to police salaries and celebration event expenses. CFO Jennifer A. Martin presented the revised figures and the clerk opened the statutorily required public hearing; no members of the public spoke during the hearing.
Council passed a resolution authorizing the budget to be read by title only (Resolution 2026-193) and then adopted the amended budget (Resolution 2026-194). The council recorded roll-call approval and instructed the clerk to upload the amended budget to FAST for certification per Local Finance Notice LFN 2026-5. Municipal officials said a complete copy of the proposed budget had been made available in the clerk's office and published on the borough website prior to the hearing.
The adoption follows routine budget-amendment procedures under New Jersey statute; the council did not take additional action on budget items during the meeting. Clerk Minock and CFO Martin were listed as contacts for follow-up documentation.
