At its July 1 work session President Noel called the Shickley Public Schools Board of Education to order at 6:00 p.m. The board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Kempf, seconded by Nelson; the motion carried, Yes: 6, No: 0. There were no public comments recorded.
Throughout the session the board discussed operational items including lunch-program participation in a federal program, the district’s strategic plan and professional development for administrators, committee schedules, student cell-phone survey results and proposed 2025–26 Student Handbook changes, facilities projects and the capital improvement plan, and plans for student and staff presentations during the coming year. The board also discussed providing a meal for staff during August inservice days; the transcript does not record a vote or funding decision on that item.
Kempf moved and Schlegel seconded a motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.; the motion carried, Yes: 6, No: 0. The next meeting is scheduled for July 14 at 7:00 p.m.
