Board approves remote participation, agenda and a small lease; budget reallocation deferred

The Prince George County school board approved several procedural items March 3 and deferred a final decision on proposed carryover reallocations.
Early in the special meeting the board unanimously approved a motion to allow a board member to participate remotely because of work responsibilities. The motion was moved and seconded; the clerk called roll and recorded affirmative votes.
The board then moved and approved the meeting agenda as presented on a roll call vote.
Later in the meeting the board voted to authorize execution of a lease with the Southside Virginia Education Center. Dr. Lyle explained the $2,250 lease is already included in the adult‑education budget and the school division is merely executing the agreement as fiscal agent. The motion to approve the lease was moved by Ms. Andrews and seconded; the roll-call vote passed.
With no further business, the board moved to adjourn. The motion to adjourn passed on roll call.
