The Board of Education met Jan. 20 at Martz Library and approved its consent agenda, including a detailed set of vendor payments and financial reports.
Dennis Erickson moved to approve the agenda with the addition of superintendent applications; Jeremy Thompson seconded and the motion carried 5–0. Holly Sobieck then moved to approve past board minutes, financial reports and payment of bills; Tayton Kramer seconded and that motion carried 5–0. The minutes list numerous checks and vendors; the recorded totals were General Fund/Building $61,461.37, Food Service $7,861.88 and Activity Fund $19,037.44.
The personnel committee brought recommended edits to several job descriptions. Dennis Erickson moved to approve the revised job descriptions; Holly Sobieck seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
Board members reviewed the proposed 2026–2027 school calendar. Jeremy Thompson moved to adopt the calendar; Dennis Erickson seconded and the board approved it 5–0.
The board also addressed a matured TruCommunity certificate of deposit (CD) that had been cashed out when it matured. Tayton Kramer moved to apply the cashed-out CD and accrued interest to the district construction loan; Dennis Erickson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes do not list a dollar amount for the CD in the motion text.
Kelli Adams, secretary and business manager, reported the vendor/check listing included payments to a large set of vendors and flagged one apparent transcription inconsistency in the minutes: the line for Max Farm Services appears as '$3,0001.72' and is unclear in this record.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 17 at 5:45 p.m.
