The Max Board of Education approved its consent agenda and financial reports at a Nov. 17 regular meeting, authorizing a suite of vendor payments and renewing a matured certificate of deposit.
Board President Clarence Ruhland called the meeting to order at 5:50 p.m. and the board voted 4–0 to adopt the agenda amendment adding 'c. door' under old business. Holly Sobieck, a board member, moved to adopt the agenda; Jeremy Thompson seconded. The board then approved past minutes and the presented financial reports; Dennis Erickson seconded that motion and it passed 4–0.
Secretary and business manager Kelli Adams presented detailed disbursements for the board’s review. The record lists multiple checks and payees, including New Vision Security ($34,676.62), Max Farm Services ($2,888.18) and others. The board-recorded totals were: General Fund/Building $65,791.57; Food Service $13,051.68; Activity Fund $6,704.40.
Later in the meeting, Adams presented a matured certificate of deposit. Dennis Erickson, board member, moved to renew the CD for 12 months at a 3.4% interest rate; Holly Sobieck seconded. The motion passed 4–0.
No controversy or challenge to the financial items was recorded. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Dec. 16, 2025, at 5:45 p.m.
