The Norfolk Board of Education voted unanimously on June 9 to extend the contract of Superintendent Kevin D. Case following a closed-session performance evaluation.
The board entered executive session at 8:00 p.m. to conduct Superintendent Case’s evaluation after a motion by Board member Donna Rubin and a second from Jeremy Withnell. The board reconvened in open session at 8:47 p.m., and a motion by Board member Virginia Coleman‑Prisco, seconded by Jeremy Withnell, to extend Case’s contract was unanimously approved.
Board Chair John DeShazo presided over the meeting. The evaluation and contract extension occurred after the board discussed routine agenda items including finances, policy reviews and school reports earlier in the evening. The meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
