The Ridgway Town Council approved a restaurant liquor license and a revocable sidewalk encroachment permit for Tacos and Beer Ridgway at 618 Clinton Street on May 14.
Town Clerk reported that Tacos and Beer Montrose LLC, represented by Adauto M. Jimenez, applied for a restaurant liquor license to operate at the leased premises and requested use of the north and south patios and an encroachment to serve alcohol on the public sidewalk. The council approved the liquor license on a unanimous vote after a motion by Mayor Pro Tem Lakin and second by Councilor Kroger.
Later in the meeting the council moved to issue a revocable encroachment permit allowing the business to serve food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, on the adjacent sidewalk; Mayor Pro Tem Lakin moved and Councilor Scoville seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The encroachment approval will be submitted along with the state outdoor service application.
No conditions or special limitations were recorded in the minutes beyond the permit being revocable; the record shows the applicant will submit required materials to the state for outdoor consumption authorization.
