Rebecca Cartwright told the Jennings County Council she will be going on maternity leave in about two and a half weeks and introduced Christopher Fogel, who will serve as the regional operations leader during the transformation of the extension program.
Cartwright said the organizational transformation will bring staffing changes and that Christopher Fogel will begin working with the county on budget matters sooner than previously expected. "I'm excited," she said, and noted that Fogel will assist with the 2027 budget process.
Fogel, who said he is based in Decatur County and has worked in extension for close to nine years, gave a brief background and offered to answer questions as the county proceeds through the transition and budget season.
Council members welcomed Fogel and thanked Cartwright for the heads-up on her leave and the staffing change.
