Board to seek more pricing after discovering crosswalk beacon no longer meets NHDOT standards

Chairman Paight said the existing system, installed around 2010–2011, no longer meets New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) standards. The board asked Town Administrator Ellen Smith to reach out to other towns to collect comparable pricing information before committing to vendor work.
No procurement decision or vote on the beacon replacement was made at the Aug. 5 meeting; the matter remains under review pending additional quotes and information from other municipalities.
