Jason and Christine Colfer, the new owners of the Corner Stores, attended the Schuylkill Township Historical Commission's April 20 meeting as a pre-application presentation. The Colfers described plans to fully renovate the buildings; they said there are currently no proposed architectural changes but the structures need rehabilitation work such as new siding and new windows.
Commissioners thanked the Colfers for bringing their plans to the Historical Commission in advance of the permitting process and recorded that the commission had no suggestions at this time. The presentation was entered in the minutes as a nonbinding pre-application consultation; any required permits and reviews will follow when the owners submit formal permit applications.
