Selectmen approve payroll, appoint ZBA member and create 250th committee

At the July 30 meeting the board approved payroll and accounts payable registers, accepted July 23 minutes, appointed Andy Harris to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and created a Semiquincentennial Committee with nine members; the board also signed permit applications and NHDOT crosswalk maintenance forms ahead of Route 101 paving.
The Marlborough Board of Selectmen approved financial registers, made appointments and signed permits at its July 30 meeting.
Selectman Pitt moved and Selectman Nelson seconded approval of the July 31, 2025 Direct Deposit Register in the amount of $14,999.52 and the Accounts Payable Register in the amount of $263,973.85; the vote to approve was unanimous. Pitt then moved and Nelson seconded approval of the July 23, 2025 meeting minutes; the board voted unanimously to approve.
Selectman Pitt moved and Selectman Nelson seconded appointing Andy Harris to the Zoning Board of Adjustment; the vote was unanimous. Selectman Nelson moved (seconded by Selectman Pitt) to create a Semiquincentennial Committee to plan the town's 250th anniversary and appoint Ted Mead, Holly Mead, Craig Cashman, Dana Whitehouse, Lucius Parshall, Miriah Greenwood, Linda Ferranti-Nesbeda, Joann Robinson and Glenn Parker; the motion passed unanimously.
The board reviewed and signed electrical permit applications for Maps 17-011 and 03-09225 and signed NHDOT Route 101 crosswalk maintenance responsibility forms and agreement in advance of Route 101 paving. A Pleasant Street resident asked to have a load of wood chips dumped at the Pleasant Street tank site so her contractor could move them to her property; the board discussed the request and declined to grant it.
Selectman Nelson moved to adjourn at 12:10 p.m.; seconded by Chairman Paight. The vote to adjourn was unanimous.
