President Chuck Kuen opened the June 22 meeting of the Village of Kimberly Board and the board approved a site and architectural plan for Uros of A at 120 E. Kimberly Avenue.
Trustee Norb Karner moved to approve the application; Trustee Tom Gaffney seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board attached three conditions: add a minimum two-foot landscape strip along the Kimberly Avenue and Elm Street sidewalks within one year of occupancy; within three years either remove the concrete north of the building and restore that area to grass or replace it with a new hard surface pad that meets ordinance standards and includes at least a 10-foot vegetative buffer to the north property line, and prohibit parking of vehicles, trailers or equipment north of the building until the parking area is restored; and ensure any dumpster or refuse is enclosed inside the building or located at the rear of the building and screened from public view.
The board’s action authorizes staff to confirm compliance with the conditions as part of occupancy and site plan follow-up. No public comments on the item were recorded in the minutes. The board’s vote was recorded as unanimous.
