Doniphan-Trumbull hears mechantronics demonstration, digital media plan and NRCSA legislative preview

The Doniphan-Trumbull Board of Education recognized junior high and high school cross-country athletes and then heard three presentations during the reports portion of its Nov. 11 meeting.
Jack Moles, Executive Director of the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association, gave an update on NRCSA services and provided a legislative preview for rural districts. Students in the mechantronics program, presented in partnership with CCC, demonstrated program activities and described how the curriculum connects to career and technical opportunities. The district’s Digital Media team shared a sample communication plan designed to solicit community feedback on facility improvements to inform the district’s master facility planning process.
Administrators provided routine updates: Ms. Kuhlmann (Activities Director), Ms. Goracke (Secondary Principal) noted the annual Financial Literacy Report is due on or before Dec. 31 under §79-3004, Ms. Niles (Special Education Director/Early Childhood), and Mr. Mogilefsky (Elementary Principal) gave building-level reports. The board discussed improvements to the feedback-gathering format for master facility planning and asked staff to refine the approach.
The presentations were informational; no formal action resulted from these reports. The board scheduled follow-up committee work on facilities and civic curriculum and set the superintendent contract for the December meeting.
