Doniphan-Trumbull board approves $162,213.96 in claims, leases skid steer and accepts accreditation assurance

President Steph Roach called the Doniphan-Trumbull Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 11, 2025. After confirming meeting notice and roll call, the board approved the consent agenda, which included General Fund claims of $162,213.96, Lunch Fund claims of $34,711.17, and Special Building Fund claims of $2,500.
The consent agenda passed on a motion by Douglas Rader and a second by Beau Toben; all six members—Amanda Groff, Douglas Rader, Steph Roach, John Schultz, Beau Toben and Zach VanDiest—voted yea. No members of the public spoke during the open forum.
The board approved a one-year lease proposal from Bobcat for a skid steer at $5,500 on a motion by Zach VanDiest, seconded by John Schultz; that motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting the board accepted the 2025–2026 Rule 10 Accreditation Assurance Statement on a motion by Amanda Groff with a second from Douglas Rader; that motion also passed with unanimous votes.
Board President Steph Roach said she reviewed the superintendent evaluation with Dr. Jeremy Braden before the meeting, and she noted the superintendent contract will be on the December agenda for formal consideration. The board discussed roofing bids for the elementary building and requested additional information before making a decision.
At 9:25 p.m. the board entered a closed session for a strategy session related to negotiations (motion by Beau Toben, second by John Schultz). The board exited the closed session at 9:37 p.m.; President Roach stated the discussion in closed session was limited to strategy. All motions to enter and exit closed session passed by recorded unanimous votes.
The board announced committee and meeting dates for Dec. 10, 2025, and adjourned at 9:37 p.m.
