Board reviews budget planning, keeps Pine Hurst inlet estimate on the agenda and approves minutes

The River Ridge board reviewed ongoing budget planning for fiscal year 2024/2025 on July 23, including Mr. Blumenthal’s updated five‑year Capital Improvement Plan and discussion of guardhouse design and permitting, potential transfers to cash sweep accounts, the well and traffic hawk projects, and scheduling for the budget public hearing.
Mr. Adams presented MRI Construction Estimate #C060‑24 for a Type 9 inlet top to keep debris from blocking the structure; the estimate totaled $10,692.88. The Board noted Mr. Krebs is seeking an additional proposal and the item will remain on the agenda for further review.
Mrs. Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024 and addressed questions about the check register. The Board approved corrections to the June 25, 2024 meeting minutes (including correcting "Samantha De Guras" to "Samantha De Gyras" and changing a title to "Assistant to District Counsel"), and, on motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Gilman, approved the minutes as amended.
Staff noted that MRI plugged only one pipe end (not two) and will edit the financials to reflect that clarification. The Board confirmed a quorum for the next meeting and set the adoption of the FY2025 budget hearing for Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
