The River Ridge Community Development District Board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman from Seat 1 (term through November 2026) at its Aug. 27, 2024 meeting.
Mrs. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter. On motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the Board voted to accept the resignation. Because the vacancy will be filled by appointment rather than election, the Board directed staff to notify residents (including an e-blast through Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager), publish candidate qualification requirements, and request interested residents submit a resume or letter of interest prior to the next meeting.
Mrs. Adams noted that administration of the oath of office, required ethics training and disclosure filings (including Form 1 and Form 8B) will be part of the onboarding package for any appointee. The Board’s consensus is to consider applicants at the next meeting and include related materials in the agenda packet.
