Representatives from Hillwood Development Company and Ferber presented to the Woolwich Township Committee on May 18 a request to assign the redevelopment and financial agreement for 242 Oak Grove Road to a joint venture that would include Hillwood. Presenters said the parties aim to close on the site in July 2026 and begin construction in early–mid 2027, with an estimated construction timeline of about 13 months. No tenant has been identified.
Solicitor Alice confirmed that because the terms of the existing redevelopment agreement and financial agreement remain unchanged, the proposed assignment would effectively add Hillwood as a co-redeveloper rather than amending substantive terms. The committee agreed to place a resolution to formally add Hillwood to the redevelopment agreement on the June 1, 2026 meeting agenda for action.
Hillwood and Ferber representatives who presented included Lathan Metz and Brian Nussbaum (Hillwood) and Scott Whitley and Steve Jackie (Ferber). The presentation included a proposed timeline for closing and construction but did not specify tenants, financing details, or amended agreement language; the committee asked staff to bring a formal resolution to the June 1 agenda for consideration.
