At its Nov. 3 meeting the Village of North Fond du Lac Board of Trustees reviewed the proposed 2026 General Operating, Debt Service, Capital Projects, Spillman Library, Outdoor Recreation, EMS Fund and Tax Increment District No. 2 budgets. Administrator Nick Leonard told trustees the only change since the last meeting was a roughly $6,000 increase in risk-management costs and that staff planned to increase the use of fund balance to cover that additional expense.
Leonard said the proposed tax rate remains unchanged at $7.23 per $1,000 of assessed value. The board set a public hearing and formal adoption for its Nov. 17 meeting to consider the levy and the budgets.
Trustees also reviewed the village's 2026——2030 Capital Improvement Plan. Leonard and Public Works Director Mitch Vis asked the board to move the Community Center fence replacement from 2026 into 2025; the board agreed to that scheduling change. The CIP and the final budgets will be considered for adoption at the Nov. 17 meeting.
